I’m watching you grow
Every day a new amazement appears
Trying not to hold on too tight
Or let go too much
I’ve always loved how you, and I, and close go together


Laughing together
Learning together
You learn from me and some days… I learn from you too.


Happy tears fill my eyes
Joy grows inside
Smiles for no reason but you
Laughs while I am alone and remember


Close we stay and close we will be
Even when you move away from the tree


So close you grow up
And I know trials will come, but one thing
I do know for sure, is that close will be what holds us
