Every day a new amazement appears
Trying not to hold on too tight
Or let go too much
I’ve always loved how you, and I, and close go together


Laughing together
Learning together
You learn from me and some days… I learn from you too.


Happy tears fill my eyes
Joy grows inside
Smiles for no reason but you
Laughs while I am alone and remember


Close we stay and close we will be
Even when you move away from the tree


So close you grow up
And I know trials will come, but one thing
I do know for sure, is that close will be what holds us

When you read it,

You may scoff

But as much as you want me on my back

Under your care and feeling your strength

Letting you lead and listening to your words

Supporting your goals and giving you love

Letting your borrow my strength when needed

I know there are times

I will willingly, cheerfully, give you what you need

Love, lust, desire and respect

Fulfillment, enlightenment, a shoulder and my breast

Absorbing your power and beaming with pride

Feeling blessed and honored to be right by your side

I’ll want to feel what you feel or not when you deem

I’ll want to be the one to know if things are not as they seem

Do you know that together what a force we can be

No one can pass us, beat us, separate us if we ..fo-cus

They say there is a thin line between love and hate

But what of the line between good and between great…love

You alone are a force to be reckoned with

I feel that,

I sense that, I want that, gotta have that.

Should I claim that…as mine.

You are you and I am me but us as a we

Yeah.. think on that for a minute

Thru his eyes...

When he opens his eyes, the world appears

Almost as if a cloak has been removed from the world

From the small to the tall

The light to the dark

All things are seen in a new view

New to you and you and you

Have you walked this street before? Of course you have;

But the cracks in the sidewalk that spell out the future u did not see

Have you looked up at the sky and counted the stars?

They have never been as bright as they are once he sees thru his eyes

Those with no voice speak from the frame that he fixes

View from the top, bottom and ‘round a corner

Colors that have never met mix and mingle as a couple in love

A fixture from across the world is right in your hands

All because he has seen it thru his eyes

The pupils of creativity bring you to his minds eye

Through the lightning fast speed of his shutter he has allowed entry

Entry into a world that grows and changes and expounds upon life

MELodramatic; bringing the drama of a gushing of senses to the forefront

Rushing through your mind until it becomes a part of you.

What he has seen thru his eyes has now taken on an even different form.

Thru his eyes has passed thru my eye and now… I see… it’s all clear now

So you heard what I said.. or so you think

I know that this is a new year but I have been a new me

For much longer than this year is old.

I stand tall and face the sun

Whether is warms or burns, I face it head on

I want you know to know if you have an issue

It will become crystal clear when you just

I’ve said before that it’s time for a new leaf

I won’t ever go back to an old bush

I want to grow like the tallest tree

In goodness and truth

I’ll give you what you give me.. all u need to do is

Wonder where my head is.. again, no need if you just

Take your time.. the words may not come easy

It’s been too long since I’ve held

Your heart in my hands and didn’t want to let go

It’s been too long since I’ve heard your laugh

And known I was the cause of it.

It makes me smile that I make you smile

Do you remember.. that time. When we..

There are so many sentences that start off

But then they ended.

Was it with a period or a comma

Has our story had a conclusion

Or a To Be Continued

So many sunrises and sunsets that have not been seen

So many stars that have not been gazed upon

I lay in the bed.. thinking of you

Of our time and when it will come again

When will it come again

Am I a fool for never wanting it to end

As a girl I was taught to believe..

In the happily ever after

And I want mine

I want you as mine

I want us
